Romania is located in the south eastern region of European country and is known for the forested region of Transylvania, also ringed by the Carpathian Mountains. Romania’s preserved medieval town include SighiÅŸoara, and there are fortified churches and castles, mostly clifftop Bran Castle and long associated with the Dracula legend. Bucharest is the capital of Romania, where megalomanic monuments, including "House of the People" (now called as the Palace of Parliament), was built during the CeauÅŸescu's regime.

This is one of the large countries that will be different with contrasts like some cities are truly Western Europe and some of the villages in Romania can seem to have been brought back from the past few decades.
